Opening the Energy Gates of your Body
The set consists of a still meditation exercise called outer dissolving where you learn to feel the whole of your body, become aware of anywhere that does not feel quite right, (such as tension or contraction), and change it through the dissolving process. The five inwardly focused moving exercises; Cloud Hands, the three swings and the spine stretch teach you to move the individual parts of your body efficiently and safely as nature intended. Correct physical alignment is taken into everyday life improving athletic and recreational activities.
Pregnant women are encouraged to learn this practise, as through time you will learn mind/body exercises to help you with morning sickness, hormones, correct back posture for a healthy pregnancy, ways to help open up the pelvis in preparation for birth and of producing effective contractions, how to prepare for breast feeding and how to reduce any pre-labor nerves you may have. In the few weeks after birth you will be able to help with breast feeding, hormonal changes and healing. The earlier you come to class the better.
